MTU Blackrock Castle Observatory is an award winning science centre and active research observatory. It is the result of an exciting collaboration between Cork City Council, a private benefactor and the Cork Institute of Technology (Now Munster Technological University). BCO vision is to affect positive change in attitudes toward science, engineering and technology in Ireland and be recognised and respected as a centre of excellence in scientific research, education and outreach.
Ellinogermaniki Agogi is one of the most innovative schools in Europe with 2300 students (ages 5 to 18) and 250 teachers. The school continuously modernizes STEM education by promoting and creating learning environments for students and offering numerous opportunities for teachers’ professional development enabling them to thrive in the landscape of unprecedented challenges and opportunities in the 21st century.
NUCLIO (Núcleo Interativo de Astronomia e Inovação em Educação) is a non-profit association and an NGO for development that aims to promote innovation and development in education, embracing diversity, inclusion and an engaging holistic education for all. The work done by the team focuses on the empowerment of educators to integrate innovative practices that facilitate students’ learning and acquisition of key skills. NUCLIO coordinates the Galileo Teacher Training Program (GTTP), a worldwide teacher training network, and is an official training centre recognized by the Portuguese Ministry of Education.
