Following the mounting guide, we must use three clips on each side. Has anyone had problems with the clips?

Sometimes, they fly out during assembly 😮 , and we have two possible solutions: 1) to use tape to reinforce the triangle side below the clip; 2) to use a bigger one, maybe a 55 mm clip.

Have you found another solution?

@vo5974 Yes, we also encountered this issue with using bulldog clips in our construction. My students found nylon ratchet rivets to be a significant improvement. Thank you to BealsScience for sharing their solution. I hope this article helps others, too.

@vo5974 We ended up using a lot of masking tape and then clipping the bulldog clips over the tape!

I read a recent article by Sofia Paftoynoy of IEFIMERIDA, Komotini: How a teacher made an entire planetarium in a school - A unique experience. In it she describes how our friend and colleague, Marina Molla (Director of the 9th Primary School of Komotini, Greece), constructed a planetarium dome for the Together for the Child project.

Marina gave a presentation about her planetarium story at the Europlanet Science Congress 2020. I have pleasure in attaching a copy of her slides. Adapting the instructions from BealsScience, her students employed a wooden and paper structure for their dome with great success. Congratulations, Marina!

I received an email today from Ariane Dédeban (Logistics & Administration Assistant at ESA's e-technology lab). My application for the forthcoming Secondary Teach With Earth Workshop at ESEC-Galaxia has been successful! 🤩

Participants are invited to share a short presentation about a classroom project or tool with the group. Are all the Admins here happy for me to talk about our D.O.M.E. Project, please? Many thanks for your consideration @vo5974, @td8634 and @sme.

Today, I delivered a twenty-minute presentation (plus questions) about the D.O.M.E. Project to thirty interested secondary school teachers from ESA member states. We are all attending the Secondary School Teachers’ Teach with Earth from Space Workshop at the Education Training Centre in Transinne, Belgium.

Feedback was positive with several teachers commenting they have been inspired to commence construction on their return to work! Many thanks to @vo5974 for his kind permission to share these resources.
